You never saw it, nor heard it coming
But when it hits you it hits you hard

Love is like a flower
Beautiful when it blossoms
But the next thing you know it’s withered

Love should be like a cactus
Nice to look at
Sometimes weird
Lasts forever
Fun if you get stung
And low maintenance

In a dark, damp and cold place
My cold heart even colder
Super frozen
Not a glimpse of light
No way out
But when she is around
Her smile
Lights the Billboards up
It’s like being in Times Square
Her eyes
Are like the ocean
Like being on a sunny beach
When I see her
I am defrosted in hyper-speed
My mind blossoms
Like an explosion of spring
Never seen her in this light
But when the darkness came
The spotlight went on
There is no other way but to like her
But there’s also the story of my life:

Pictures
They fade
these days
they get lost
in gigabytes of storage
You can't even remember taking them

What stays are the pictures
in your head
they like carved into your brain
but its the bad pictures which you
never can delete
they stay with you
even haunt you
in dreams
in good times
and in bad times

You try to remember the good
ones but its hard to find them
You try, but they just won't reassemble

Its the same with memories
why people always remember the bad
things more than the good
These days with everything online
there are things written
which are beyond history
they are ancient and should be gone

If you've ever been fishing you know that
something bit and you start reeling it in
it seems heavy well maybe just some junk
you let it go and it starts pulling away
after some time you really convinced its a big one
you start reeling it in totally
and well its just some junk.

Like in real life
there seem these opportunities
and they seem real and this could be it
but than they're just hot air
and the bubble bursts

Disillusionment

but you really only got to blame
yourself
for not being realistic.

She's loaded, safety is off
you got your target locked
slowly you twist your finger
you can feel the point when
its just about to go
and than
bang
you smell the gunpowder
you hear the empty cartridge dropping
check the target and again

So much power in your hand
its easy to hit the target
even if the target is alive
